The Practice
General Internal Medicine - Emphasis on Fitness and Nutrition.
The practice is a traditional Internal Medicine practice - managing acute and chronic illnesses.
There is an additional emphasis on Preventive Medicine - promoting health and optimizing general wellness. Physical Activity is not equivalent to Physical Fitness. Both are important in lowering risk of heart attack and stroke. Physical Fitness plays a more significant role. Most people can approximate their "activity level." However, few know their "fitness level." This practice offers an annual Fitness Assessment that includes a submaximal cycle ergometry test. The test provides an approximation of your fitness level. In addition, we provide referrals for nutrition and exercise counseling when requested. |
